Is there a Cameratek in JHB perhaps? They service Canon in CT

Ouch. Incentive enough to upgrade :)

You have my vote :)
keep in mind a new camera – if nothing from the old one fits – you need
new batteries
new cards and card readerperhaps new editing software that can read newer files
good luck

Indeed cameratek. Also try Sun Photographic in Linden and Ludwig’s in Hatfield Pretoria.

Oh and also if your computer OS is too old to run the new Photoshop – you might need to replace that too haha
Sorry I couldnt help myself – just helped a student of mine go thru this whole process – it never ends. And in a couple of years – you do it all over again. You need to keep that in mind as money dont grow on trees. -
Yup Kevin – we dont always realize how complicated it can be to just buy a new camera.

Who is complaining ?
This practice of expensive spare parts is ALL OVER, , e.g cars, washing machines , audio visuals etc etc. For the cost of spareparts you could buy nearly half of the new item.
Our R.O.E does not help either, makes it every year worse……
IT IS HOW IT IS !!!!!
