    Hi.

I am a beginner photographer and I want to try astrophotography and landscapes. I had the kit lens 18-55mm DC. That has now been sold and I’m looking for another lens.

I was wondering if this Canon 15-85mm would suit the type of photos that I want to take?

    I have a Canon 760D, Canon 55-250 IS and Sigma 150 – 500mm.

    Thanks

If you only want to do star trials, it can work pretty well.

However, if you want to take photos where the stars seem to be standing still, you really want to have a faster lens than that.

Have a look at the Tokina 11-16 or 11-20mm f2.8’s.

    Thanks Peter.

I guess I will use it for now as I am learning, If I see a future in it, I will definitely consider those lenses.
