Ball Head adaptor for Pan-Tilt Tripod

I have a Slik Able 300 Tripod on which I would like to attach a Ball Head.
The tripod does not seem to have a means of interchanging the Pan-Tilt mechanism with a Ball Head as some tripods do, however, I wonder if there is a Ball Head available that is fitted with a ‘plate’ at the bottom which will simply clip into the quick release of the Pan-Tilt mount where the camera would normally clip into?

    Any thoughts?

My camera equipment is a canon 7DMk2 with a 100-400 lens attached

AFAIK the Slik plate is a proprietary design, ie only they use it. If you cannot remove the tilt and shift head (try unscewing) then simply fit a ball head to the QR plate by means of the screw connector?

Thanks Simon. I’ve discovered since I posted this that one can get a thread adaptor that will increase the 1/4″ thread on the QR plate to 3/8″, which will accomodate the Ball-head.
I’m not sure where one can get them other than from a link someone gave me on Ebay.
Perhaps I can call the ODP shop
    Much appreciatiions for the reply

Camerastuff sell them. I am sure ODP will also be able to supply.
