The past two shoots my 50mm is out of focus. But not with every shot. Used my 60mm the weekend and it’s 100%, so it eliminates it being my camera. What could be the issue. The 50mm is less than a year old

Kevin, very difficult to say from the info given. You say the lens is less than a year old – so it will be under guarantee still. Have Canon/Nikon check it for you

Bought it from outdoorphoto in June. Will take it back for them to get it checked out.

One of the elements could be loose and with movement, the element falls in and out of alignment causing the issue you mention.

I had a Nikon 17-55 that suffered from this. It is most likely to occur from impact but could be a Q&A issue as well.

As Elsa says, best to take it back rather than deliberate on the forum. ODP’s after sales service is excellent.
