Some samples with 8-15 and 16-35 for comparison. The 8-15 is extreme specialist lens, not good for landscapes or general wide-angle use. For a general wide angle on 1D4 go 16-35/2.8 or 4. Prefer f4 due to better optics especially corner sharpness when used wide open and less mass overall. Same filter size though. With the 8-15 @ 8mm you can literally take a photo of your own feet whilst standing upright and point straight ahead. You have to lean a little forward not to get get your feet in photo.
